Documentaries

Lloyd is currently working on a new documentary titled The Truth About the Truth in collaboration with director/co-producer Juan Escobedo and co-producer Javier Ortiz, whose previous work includes the award-winning fictional short film Marisol.

Through a series of compelling interviews, The Truth About the Truth will explore three areas in which the beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses have proven to be devastatingly harmful, namely the prohibition of blood transfusions, the cover-up of child sex abuse, and the shunning of former members.

In addition to his work on The Truth About the Truth, Lloyd has produced a number of special YouTube documentaries on various topics related to the Jehovah’s Witness faith. These include:

Jehovah’s Witnesses and Child Abuse: Is There a Problem? (2016)

In 2016, Lloyd produced Jehovah’s Witnesses and Child Abuse: Is There a Problem? to highlight growing concerns over his former religion’s appalling track record in relation to the widespread cover-up of child sex abuse. This YouTube documentary explains why various aspects of JW beliefs and culture contribute to the problem, and brings together the stories of several victims of abuse to highlight the devastating impact of Watchtower’s negligence in this area.

Warwick: A Journey To My Former Faith (2017)

In 2017, Lloyd and his family visited the newly-relocated headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Warwick, upstate New York. Accompanied by a friend, former Bible Student Peter Jeuck, the group tour the facilities and point out aspects of JW history that have been omitted from the visitor exhibits.
